East Manufacturing Names Andrew Grow as Director of Engineering

RANDOLPH, Ohio – August 6, 2013 – East Manufacturing has named Andrew Grow as Director of Engineering. He will manage the Engineering and Customer Service/Warranty departments, overseeing the design and development of products that meet the goals of the company as well as the needs of East customers.

In his new role, Grow will be responsible for improving current product and future product designs. He will look for ways to facilitate positive effects on manufacturing which will result in cost improvement opportunities. He will work closely with the Vice President of Manufacturing & Plant Management to meet quality, delivery cost and growth goals of the company. In his position, Grow will report to Dave de Poincy, president.

East retained the leading national manufacturing executive search firm, JMJ Phillip, to conduct an exhaustive search for a Director of Engineering. Marc Callert, the executive search consultant working on the project sought out and placed Grow, a local candidate and registered PE in the state of Ohio.

With proven capabilities in engineering management, product development and problem solving, Grow has 15 years of engineering liftgates for Waltco. In his 23-year career, he has obtained two patents and received the Nortech Innovation Award for design and development of a new side door liftgate.

In addition to his engineering experience, Grow has pioneered co-operative education programs for engineering departments, successfully instructed plant operations and undertaken risk management analysis. Grow was formerly employed as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Alphas Technologies and spent four years prior to Waltco as a Power Plant Engineer at Ohio Edison Company.
