All East steel and aluminum chassis are constructed from one-piece I-beams. This design results in fewer welds and joints than a fabricated beam, and provides more efficient use of material – putting the strength where it’s needed. Chassis cross member gussets are bolted – not welded – to allow the assembly the flexibility to give under normal stresses and vibrations.

The bottom of our tightly sealed gate latch and top hinge of our long-life hardware is bolt-on, cast steel for easy replacement. For maximum strength and resistance to cracking, our rear hinge mount is attached to the mainframe web then connected to an outer pocket gusset. The hinge shoes are mounted on a 2-3/4-inch diameter high Brinnell hollow tube for longer wear life and tight tolerances.

We offer longer floor life with longitudinal beams that reduce contortion. We build extra support into our floors so you get extra service life. Twin longitudinal 4-inch x 4-inch box beams are full length to reduce body twist.

The hoist base assembly is made of ¼-inch thick, 3-inch x 5-inch seamless tubing for extra strength in this high-stress area.

Sealed beam lamps and isolated ground wiring are used for all lights. A sealed wire harness is enclosed in a water-resistant rear panel, reducing exposure to corrosion and failures in this vulnerable area.
